Description

The 5050 Water Resistant 4:1 LED Grow Light Strip produces a mixture of red and blue light, giving your plant the perfect mixture of light for good growth all the way through flowering to harvest.

Research has shown that plants are most sensitive to particular wavelengths of light and absorb the most chlorophyll when exposed to red and blue light. The highest efficiency of chlorophyll absorption occurs between 400 to 500nm and between 600 too 700nm, which is impossible to optimize using traditional HPS lighting where most of the light output falls outside this range.

LED grow lights, on the other hand, can employ specific spectra to match these peak absorption ranges. This means that plant growth efficiency can be improved by using The 5050 Water Resistant 4:1 LED Grow Light Strips, which target the red and blue light spectrums, in order to ensure that as little as possible energy is lost during the process of plant growth.

Please Note: LED lights produce less heat than traditional Metal Halide and High-Pressure Sodium resulting in less heat and more light. This, however, does not make LEDs more heat resistant and these LED strips would need external cooling when used in hot environments.
