The Urban Organics Saffron Hydroponic System is fitted vertically and horizontally and boasts 56 cut-outs for growing opportunities. Perfect for the small home where an area is set out to grow herbs such as Lettuce, Rocket, Basil as well as vine type plants such as Tomatoes, Peppers and Chillies as the system is quipped with a gantry and support lines to keep the plants upright as well as groves for add on LED lights. Compactly built in a hydroponic based ergonomic and easily accessible system. Requires 220v plug point to power the water pump in the reservoir tank.

The Hydroponic system is identical to the Soil Based option but uses just nutrient water in its tubes to feed the plants. Each cut-out is equipped with a growing net pot with a sealing rubber grommet and a neoprene collar to support the seedling and stabilise the stem in the absence of soil. The main advantage of Hydroponic growing is that it is soil free, the plant can be simply lifted out the tubes, trimmed for consumption and repositioned anywhere in the growing system. It is also easy to manage the root growth and replanting is quick and simple in comparison to soil based growing, where the roots tend to spread beyond the immediate growth area.
