The Leupold VX-6 2-12x42mm CDS Rifle Scope - Boone & Crockett Reticle, Matte Black brings optical quality and dependability to short-to-mid range hunting and shooting. The expertly-designed optical system features a wide zooming range and Leupold's proprietary Xtended Twilight Lens System (XT) for enhanced low-light visibility. These lens coatings optimize transmission in the blue-violet spectrum to improve image brightness in twilight and low-light conditions. In addition, the lens edges are blackened to reduce stray light and glare, helping improve resolution and contrast. To protect lenses from scratches and abrasion and to ensure years of service, the outer surfaces are enhanced with their proprietary ion-assisted DiamondCoat 2 coatings.

Located in the second focal plane, the Boone and Crockett reticle features four tapered posts and an illuminated center crosshair with ranging hold lines. The ranging hold lines provide bullet drop compensation for 200, 300, 400, 450, and 500 yards as well as 10 mph wind deflection.

Built to endure all outdoor conditions, and heavy use, the 6061-T6 aluminum alloy housing is filled with a combination of argon and krypton gases and sealed with O-rings for waterproof and fogproof performance. To ensure superior recoil-resistance, this optic also features a Twin Bias Spring 6x Erector System with beryllium-copper leaf springs. Moreover, this riflescope has a Custom Dial System (CDS) that allows you to quickly switch the elevation to your sight-in ranges.
