Description

The Microgarden Air Plant - Tillandsia Melanocrater, 15 cm is an easy to maintain, soilless air plant, ideal for indoor decoration. Air plants can be 'potted' in glass terrariums, hanging on a loop, attached on a magnet, or placed in driftwood or seashells for an extra decorative look. The Tillandsia Melanocrater air plant has pointed leaves that vary from yellow-green to red. This plant grows a flower from the heart of the plant, which can become a beautiful red, pink, or purplish colour. It blooms 2 to 3 times per year. Air Plants are low maintenance plants, and get the majority of their nutrients from the air.

Mist your air plants in accordance with the weather, more often when it is hot and dry and less often when it is cold, damp, or dark. Plants should be soaked in water once every two weeks, depending on weather conditions. You'll know when your air plant is about to bloom, it will start to change colour when its preparing to bloom, usually to a pink or red on the tips of the plant.
