Depending on antenna installation and operating conditions, the unit can typically be detected at distances of up to 10 to 12 nautical miles. The increased transmission power also enhances global vessel tracking capabilities through AIS satellite networks and supports an increased transmission rate that automatically adjusts based on vessel speed, ensuring more frequent position updates when underway.

The transponder continuously transmits your vessel's AIS information while simultaneously receiving AIS data from surrounding vessels. Featuring one AIS transmitter and two dedicated AIS receivers operating on AIS Channel 1 (161.975 MHz) and AIS Channel 2 (162.025 MHz), the KS-200A+ provides comprehensive coverage of nearby maritime traffic.
