The Pulsar Merger XT50 LRF Thermal Binoculars represent a pinnacle of modern thermal imaging technology, combining high performance with rugged durability in a versatile, portable package. Constructed from reinforced magnesium alloy, these binoculars are designed to withstand demanding outdoor conditions, with an IPX7 waterproof rating that guarantees protection against water ingress and harsh environments. Weighing approximately 0.95 kg and measuring 197 x 140 x 72 mm, they offer a comfortable balance of size and weight for extended field use. Their wide operating temperature range from -25C to +50C makes them suitable for a variety of climates and weather conditions.
At the core of the Merger XT50 is a high-quality uncooled sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, utilising a 12-micrometer pixel pitch and a NETD of less than 40 mK, ensuring highly sensitive thermal detection. The system's advanced image processing provides a NETD below 20 mK, with a frame rate of 50 Hz that delivers smooth, flicker-free imaging. The 50mm F1.0 objective lens offers rapid aperture optics for bright, detailed thermal images. The binoculars feature a magnification range from 2x to 16x, with an expansive field of view of 17.5 x 14 degrees and a detection range up to 2,300 meters-ideal for long-distance surveillance and target acquisition.
The visual display is an AMOLED HD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels, providing crisp, vibrant thermal imagery. Users can select from 8 different colour palettes-including White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, and others-allowing optimal contrast and visibility based on environmental conditions. Additional features include a picture-in-picture mode for close-up views, proximity sensor for automatic activation, and three sensitivity enhancement levels for fine-tuning image clarity. The device is equipped with a built-in laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 1500 meters with 1 meter accuracy, adding a valuable tool for precise targeting.
Connectivity and recording features enhance the devices' versatility. It supports Wi-Fi with dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz standards, allowing seamless integration with Stream Vision 2 app on iOS and Android devices for remote viewing, control, and data transfer. The binoculars include a built-in 64GB memory for capturing photos and videos in high resolution (.mp4 and .jpg formats), with an external removable battery pack (APS3) providing up to 6 hours of continuous operation at room temperature. The USB Type-C port enables external power supply and quick recharging.
